Refund Policy

PublishPro turns manuscripts into print-ready and store-ready book files. Because those files are generated and downloadable the moment you export them, our billing follows the terms set out below. Completing a purchase or starting a subscription on publishpro.app means you accept them.

  1. All sales are final

Our services deliver digital goods immediately: an export consumes compute, unlocks professional templates, and produces downloadable files, including PDF/X-1a print-ready and validated EPUB output. For that reason:

  • Purchases are non-refundable. All purchases, access passes, and subscription fees are generally non-refundable, subject to Sections 2 and 6 below.

  • The service is rendered on export. Once our engine generates, formats, or lets you export your manuscript into platform-ready print or eBook files, the service is treated as fully delivered. We do not offer retroactive refunds or trial clawbacks if you change your mind after downloading.

  • You consent to immediate delivery. By exporting or downloading a file, you ask us to begin performance right away and acknowledge that any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right that would otherwise apply to digital content ends once the download starts. See Section 6.

Key term: Because files are delivered instantly, a completed export is final. The only exceptions are a genuine platform defect (Section 2) and any non-waivable rights the law of your country gives you (Section 6).

  1. Formatting issues & technical exceptions

We stand behind the engineering of our platform. If your exported files have a formatting problem, this is how we handle it.

  • Report it promptly. Contact support@publishpro.app within 14 days of the export, including your file details and screenshots of the error, so we can reproduce it.

  • We review for a genuine defect. Our technical team audits the issue. We take full responsibility where the error stems solely from our application engine or code, and not from user error or an improperly formatted source manuscript.

  • We fix first. Our engineers will first attempt to resolve the bug so your book formats correctly.

  • Refund if we can't. If no technical fix is possible and the failure lies solely on our side, we will issue a refund. Where permitted by law, that refund may be net of non-refundable payment-processing fees retained by our processor (Stripe), typically 2.9% + $0.30, or the local equivalent.

  1. Subscriptions & cancellations
  • Cancel any time. On a recurring monthly or annual tier, you can cancel from your Account Billing Dashboard whenever you like.

  • Future charges stop. On cancellation, your payment profile is flagged to stop future automated charges through Stripe.

  • Access runs out the cycle. You keep uninterrupted access to your unused book credits until the final day of your current prepaid billing cycle. We do not prorate or refund the remainder of a cycle already paid for.

  1. Failed transactions & account standing
  • Retries. Payments are handled securely by Stripe. If a recurring invoice fails, expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank block, Stripe re-attempts collection across a multi-day grace window.

  • Temporary pause. If funding does not clear within that window, download rights are paused until valid payment details are attached. Access resumes automatically once payment succeeds.

  1. Chargebacks & payment disputes
  • Talk to us first. If you hit a formatting bug, an export error, or unexpected billing, contact support@publishpro.app so we can resolve it under Section 2. Most issues are settled quickly this way.

  • Your right to dispute stands. Nothing here removes your right to dispute a genuinely unauthorized or fraudulent charge with your bank or card issuer.

  • Abuse has consequences. Where a chargeback is filed in bad faith, for services already delivered and without first contacting support, we may suspend or close the associated account and recover related costs, to the extent permitted by law and card-network rules.

  1. Your statutory consumer rights

This policy does not limit any consumer protection you have that cannot be waived under the law of your country or state.

In some regions including the EEA and the UK, consumers have a right to cancel digital purchases within a short window. That right generally does not apply once you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and started downloading your files, which is what happens when you export from PublishPro (see Section 1). Where a non-waivable right does apply to you, it prevails over the general "all sales final" rule above.

  1. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers. Continuing to use PublishPro after an update means you accept the revised terms.
